Bigfoot Stomp
Megan Vinther's spirited "Bigfoot Stomp" is an uptempo funk chart inspired by one of the Pacific Northwest’s favorite cryptids, the Sasquach. Entire organizations exist to study Bigfoot and prove its existence, and groups regularly search the mountains and forests of the Pacific Northwest, looking for the ultimate proof of existence.
The piece includes solo changes for Tenor Sax 1, Trumpet 2, and Trombone 1 and dynamic backgrounds for others. Rhythms section parts are written out but more advanced students should feel free to ad lib for a large part of the tune as long as it fits with the style.
